Self-esteem and confidence are arguably the most fundamental qualities in life that a child can possess. Celebrating the launch of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast film, the GapKids ‘Fearless Beauty’ campaign, empowers girls and boys inner strength to shine through, redefining the meaning of beauty.
The animated reworking of the Disney classic has inspired a capsule collection of go get ‘em kidswear with filmic references of the characters for kids from 18 months to fourteen years.
The campaign features an inspiring assortment of children; April Star, a 10-year-old girl with vitiligo, a condition that leaves her with patches of white discoloration all over her body which she powerfully displays in beautiful images. The cast also includes the Tiny Terrors, a roller derby team of skater girls aged 8 to 10 in the Gotham Girls Junior League of New York City – currently ranked number one in the world.
